Frequently Asked Questions From Authors

We try to answer questions the best we can. If you questions are not answered here feel, free to contact us.

Submitting Your Blog for Review

Q1: What Happens after I Register?

We'll review your application and follow up with an email within 2-3 days. If you are accepted into the program, you can log in to your new account and get the code to insert into your blog and feeds.

Q2: How does CrispAds target ads to my website?

Graphical Ads: Advertisers see your blog profile and buy graphical ads on your site on a monthly basis.

Text Ads: CrispAds uses a proprietary method of providing ads to your website based not on contextual, but by allowing you to CHOOSE THE KEYWORDS that provides ads that may interest your reader. For example, if your blog is about cars, you may serve ads to your audience about insurance, or mens magazines. Contextual advertising does not do this and in some cases can be considered less effective.

Q3: How quickly will CrispAds ads start appearing on my site?

Graphical Ads: After your profile is displayed to advertisers, and when an advertiser decides to buy ad space at your specified price, their ads will start showing up on your site.

Text Ads: After being accepted to the program and successfully pasting the CrispAds code into your web pages, ads will start running on your site within minutes. If your site is not yet in our index, it may take up to 48 hours or more before we are able to review your site.

* Publishers have sole responsibility for the operation and maintenance of their sites. CrispAds shall not be responsible in the event that the CrispAds code is implemented incorrectly or we are technically unable to serve ads on a site.

Payments

Q1: When do I get paid?

Payments occur on or before the end of each month for the previous month's balances, as long as your balance for the previous month is over $5. For graphical earnings, you will get paid on or before the end of each month for all ads that finished delivery for the previous month.

Q2: How do I get paid?

PayPal is the method we use to pay you. Simply enter your PayPal email in your My Accounts tab, and we will issue payments to the specified account associated with the email. Don't have a PayPal account? Register for one instantly.

If you have monthly earnings of $500 or more, you can get paid via check. Email us to give us your contact information if this is the payment method you want.

Payments to You on a Monthly Basis for Balances over $5

CrispAds believes that even small bloggers should be able to earn from their valuable content. Therefore, unlike other ad networks, that require minimum balances of $20, or even $100 or more, CrispAds pays you monthly for balances over $5. We payout on before the end of every month for previous month's earnings via PayPal.

Running Ads

Q1: How do I optimize my site for the most relevant ads?

Graphical Ads: Advertisers buy up a month's worth of advertising on your site. They essentially target themselves.

Text Ads: You choose the keywords for the ads that you want and preview ads. CrispAds will automatically select and continuously tune ad content to match ads that perform the best on your blog. There is nothing you need to do except insert the code into your blog, sit back, and collect payments. Select the right keywords, and place multiple ads within each article.

Q2: Can I show ads on more than one blog?

Graphical Ads: You can show ads on more than one blog by creating new graphical zones and specifying different URLs.

Text Ads: The code we provide you with is valid for any page in any blog or item in a feed on which you want to display CrispAds ads. However, you may only place the CrispAds ad code on blogs and feeds that comply with our program policies and that you own or are legally authorized to act on behalf of for the purposes of CrispAds. We also monitor all blogs and feeds in CrispAds to ensure that all pages displaying CrispAds ads comply with our program policies.

Q3: How do you prevent click and page impression spam?

Graphical Ads: We count unique impressions and filter out any duplicate impressions by scanning IP addresses. In this way you are assured of the number of impressions that a blog has.

Text Ads: Any method used to artificially and/or fraudulently generate clicks or page impressions is strictly prohibited. CrispAds monitors clicks on CrispAds ads to prevent abuse of the CrispAds program. CrispAds's proprietary technology analyzes clicks to determine whether they fit a pattern of use intended to fraudulently drive up an advertiser's clicks or a publisher's earnings. Clicks deemed by us to be invalid should not be included in your earnings.

These prohibited methods include, but are not limited to: repeated manual clicks, using robots, automated clicking tools, or other deceptive software. Please note that clicking on your own ads for any reason is prohibited to avoid potential inflation of advertiser costs. All clicks must be generated as the result of a user clicking on the ads. We therefore require that blog pages and feed items do not include incentives of any kind for users to click on ads. This includes encouraging users to click on the ads or to visit the advertisers' sites as well as labeling the ads with text other than "sponsored links" or "advertisements."

Please be assured that there is no need for test clicks in order to verify the validity of the ads. Our CrispAds specialists review ads to verify that the destination URLs of the ads are orking and lead to a valid website.

In accordance with our Terms of Service, CrispAds also reserves the right to terminate a publisher's account and refuse payment WITHOUT WARNING.

Q4: I heard that placing CrispAds on my weblog might violate AdSense Terms of Service?

From our understanding the terms of service are regarding contextually targeted ads. From the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions page we quote:

"If you have elected to receive content-based Ads. You further agree not to display on any Result Page any non-Google content-targeted advertisement(s)"

CrispAds is keyword-based and hence, not competitive with content-based ads. Please note that Crispads.com neither offers legal advice nor opinions on any contracts you may have with ad networks outside of CrispAds.com.
